_DSC0423Thanks for visiting Brigit Gail!

I have been sewing since we girls were taught needlework in my English primary school. (Yes, my school was a little backward, even for the 1970s.) A few classes sewing a little blue gingham apron and I was hooked. I couldn’t believe I made something so pretty and useful from a square of cloth, needle and thread.

I feel the same way about making quilts. You start with a stack of fabric and a rotary cutter and end up with something that is beautiful and functional.

I hope you enjoy reading about my quilt making and other sewing. I would love to hear from you!

    Hi Brigit,
I left a comment in response to your March 2015 Flag Day Quilt, but as I’m not sure you’ll receive it, I thought I’d repeat myself here. (Apologies if there’s no need.) Yeah, my sister-in-law and I would LOVE a pattern for that noted quilt (along with color #s if possible). We’re making a wedding quilt for a nephew and niece (to be) who live and will marry in Tucson. The quilt seems perfect (to us); kinda like a calm SW morning. If you would like for us to pay for the pattern, we’re happy to do that too.
    Thanks! Ruth

Hi! Thanks!! The pattern is available on my Etsy shop brigitgail. It is for a crib size but it is really easy to adapt. Let me know if you have any questions.
